SL-D961 is a collapsible cylindrical bucket made from 500D PVC tarpaulin, produced in four capacities: 10 L, 20 L, 30 L and 40 L. The side wall is closed with a single high-frequency welded seam and the flat circular base is welded to the wall, so there are no stitch holes anywhere below the rim. The rim is a rolled, welded hem that holds the mouth open once the bucket is filled. Every size carries a drain tap mounted low on the side wall, with a screw cap, so the bucket can be emptied or used as a gravity-fed tap without lifting and tipping it. Two 25 mm polyester webbing handles are welded into tabs on opposite sides of the wall and meet above the centre line for single-hand carrying. Empty, the bucket folds flat to roughly 3–5 cm thick depending on size. Standard colours are black, green, orange, red and yellow, with the Sealock mark printed on the wall.
| Capacity | Diameter × Height | Empty weight | Folded thickness |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 L | 22 × 27 cm | 0.30 kg | approx. 3 cm |
| 20 L | 28 × 33 cm | 0.42 kg | approx. 3.5 cm |
| 30 L | 35 × 33 cm | 0.55 kg | approx. 4 cm |
| 40 L | 35 × 44 cm | 0.65 kg | approx. 5 cm |
A collapsible bucket fails in one of three places: the seam where the side wall closes, the joint between wall and base, and the point where the handle is attached. On sewn buckets all three are needle lines, and water eventually wicks through the thread once the seam tape ages. On SL-D961 the side seam and the base joint are both high-frequency welded, meaning the PVC on either side is fused into a single layer rather than stitched and sealed. Filled and left standing, the bucket does not weep at the base, which is the complaint buyers most often raise about low-cost folding buckets after a few weeks of use.
The handles are attached through welded tabs rather than sewn directly through the wall, so the load of a full bucket — up to 40 kg of water on the largest size — pulls on a reinforced patch instead of a perforated wall. The drain tap is fitted through a moulded flange clamped on both faces of the wall, the standard method for sealing a through-wall fitting in PVC tarpaulin.
The drain tap is what separates SL-D961 from a plain folding bucket. With the bucket hung from a branch or set on a tailgate, the tap works as a gravity-fed washing station for hands, dishes or fish cleaning; on the ground, it lets the user drain dirty water without lifting a heavy load and tipping it. The screw cap closes the tap for carrying. For drinking-water programmes, the tap can be specified with a food-contact compliant spout on OEM orders.
Camp washing and dish water, fish cleaning and bait holding, boat and kayak bailing, car washing, garden watering, pet bathing, and compact emergency water storage in vehicles. The standard material is intended for washing, rinsing and general-purpose water use. Drinking-water use requires the food-contact material option described below.

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. For this product, each bucket is filled to capacity and left standing to check for seepage at the side seam, base joint and drain tap flange, and handles are load-tested at full water weight. The standard suite also covers tensile and bonding strength on welded seams, abrasion on the base, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and load testing to 1,500 cycles. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.
Four capacities from 10 L to 40 L in one family, suitable for nested retail sets. Welded side seam and base with no stitch holes below the rim. Drain tap on every size for gravity-fed washing and hands-free emptying. Handles mounted through welded reinforcing tabs rather than through the wall. Folds flat to a few centimetres for glove boxes, kayak hatches and camp kits. MOQ 300 pieces with Pantone colour matching.
Screen printing is the standard method on PVC tarpaulin and holds up well to repeated wetting and folding. Heat transfer suits multi-colour or gradient artwork. Welded PVC patches give a raised, tonal mark. Because the bucket is folded flat for shipping and storage, we place logos away from the main fold lines so the print does not crack along a crease. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.
Sealock has manufactured waterproof outdoor gear for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification.
High-frequency welding is the core process on this product, but sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability, and many programmes combine the two — a welded water-holding body with sewn webbing, pouches or carry bags. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a simple colour and logo change to a full redesign with new capacities, fittings or material specifications; complex development with new tooling adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.
300 pieces per colour. Mixed sizes within one colour can be combined to reach MOQ.
Price depends on capacity, quantity, material choice, whether the drain tap is fitted and the logo method. Send your quantities and sizes to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.
Yes. Screen print, heat transfer and welded patches are all available, with Pantone matching on body and webbing. Artwork should be supplied as vector files.
The standard version is intended for washing, rinsing, bait and general-purpose water. For drinking-water use, specify the food-contact compliant material and spout on your order; test reports for the relevant market can be supplied with that option.
The side seam and base joint are high-frequency welded rather than sewn, so there are no stitch holes for water to wick through. Every bucket is filled and left standing during inspection to check the seams and the drain tap flange.
Yes. The rolled welded rim and the weight of the water hold the cylinder open. When empty, the bucket is soft and can collapse, which is what allows it to fold flat.
Each size is load-tested at its full water capacity — 40 kg on the 40 L bucket. The handles are attached through welded reinforcing tabs, not through the wall itself.
Yes. A tap-free version is available for bait and bailing buckets, and alternative tap styles can be fitted on OEM orders.
Yes. The four capacities can be packed as a nested multi-size set in one retail pack, or sold individually.
Rinse with fresh water, especially after salt water or fish, and let it dry fully before folding. Storing it folded while wet is the main cause of odour and mildew on the drain tap.
Samples in 7–10 days. Production is 25–30 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
